anncurry21 Have You Heard What Ann Curry Apologized For?

Today show host Ann Curry is horrified by a huge mistake she made over the weekend during a commencement speech at Wheaton College in Massachusetts. During the speech she mentioned some of the school’s famous graduates including 60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl, evangelist Billy Graham, director Wes Craven, and United Airlines Flight 93 passenger Todd Beamer. Only problem is Stahl is the only one who graduated from the school. The rest graduated from a different Wheaton College, a Christian liberal-arts school in Wheaton, Illinois. Yesterday Curry wrote an open letter to the school apologizing.  “So it is with a heavy heart that I ask you to forgive me for mistakenly naming graduates of the other Wheaton College in my address,” she wrote. “I am mortified by my mistake, and can only hope the purity of my motive, to find a way to connect with the graduates and to encourage them to a life of service, will allow you to forgive me.”
