Linda Lee at age 3 with her 'Daddy'

I cannot believe that this Sunday, will mark one year since ‘my hero’ passed away. My Dad, ‘The Big Indian’ devoted his life to his children, and we all miss him so much, but are happy that his suffering ended, and his prayers were answered when he went to Heaven on 9/19/09. Anyone who has lost a parent, knows how hard these ‘anniversary dates’ can be.

Most parents, like my Dad want just one thing for their kids, and that, is for them to be happy! So instead of spending Sunday in sorrow, we are all going to do what he liked best! His favorite thing of all, was having ‘all his kids together’….and coming in at a close second, was having fun at the casino!keyandwy kids opt Celebrating The Anniversary Of My Dads Gone To Heaven Day!

So this Sunday, all his kids will be together, at his favorite place: Motor City Casino! I know some people might think this is kind of a crazy thing to do, but we are a crazy family for sure! Celebrating the fact that we had our amazing Dad, for as long as we did, and doing what he liked best, seems a whole lot better than being without him, and withour each other on this day which would otherwise be a very sad day!

Speaking of our crazy family, this is just my immediate family, in what sadly was our last Christmas together (2008) with everyone present, all the kids and their children and spouses! On the top right, is my youngest brother Robby (holding his son R.J.), who very sadly passed away unexpectedly, just 2 days after our Dad. I just know that our brother Robby will be with us too this Sunday. Whole tribe of Keyandwy Indians!

My thoughts and prayers go out to all those who have lost their Mom or Dad, and I hope you can also find a way to celebrate your parents and their lives and be happy, even on the anniversary of their “Gone To Heaven” day, because they surely would want that for you too!

Love & God bless!  Linda Lee

A special ‘long distance dedication’ to my HERO! Always a little ‘disturbing’ but guess my Dad liked his women a little on the ‘trashy side’! My Dad’s FAVORITE song : “Trashy Women!”

I am the second oldest of 12 children. Unfortunately both my parents have passed away. There were 6 girls and six boys. I have also lost 3 brothers. It is difficult, but I think of them with love.
In 2005 I lost my first grand daughter to a spinal cord brain tumor. I have many beautiful memories as I’m sure you do.
    Love to you, Ann

Linda…you have a heart as BIG as your love for your father. You and your family SHOULD celebrate the life of this WONDERFUL man. I’m sure he will be celebrating along with you, looking down, proud as ever of all his family!!

Linda my thoughts and prayers will be with you in the coming days. I lost my Dad when I was 16 and he was only 45. My Mom passed 8 years later and even though it’s been 28 and 20 years since my parents went to Heaven, their anniversaries of the day they departed this Earth are still difficult sometimes. It gets easier and the stories get funnier as time goes on but their absence is always there.
