It’s sad but true. After failing a court ordered drug test, which was part of her probation following her release from jail, an arrest warrant has been issued for the still ‘troubled’ Lindsay Lohan.
After testing positive for cocaine and another illegal substance, Lindsay faces up to 30 more days in jail, for violating her probation AGAIN. The ‘bad news’ is that her drug addiction has taken its toll on Lindsay, and it appears obvious, that she needs more help in fighting this ‘demon’ that sits on her shoulder. The ‘good news’ is that 30 days in jail, may be a good thing for her, that would be 30 days of ‘sobriety’ towards a fresh start in her obvious struggle to remain drug free.
I personally, feel sorry for her. Before ya’ll scream at me for thinking this, let me explain ‘why’ I say this. Anyone who has struggled with addiction knows, that it is no easy battle, and most people who reach the depths that Lindsay has, rarely ‘beat it’ without some sort of relapse. It seems to me, an obvious ‘outsider looking in’ that Lindsay Lohan does not have the best ‘family support system’ in place, and she needs to get to the bottom of ‘why’ she needs to ‘numb herself’ with drugs. Rather than judge her, which is not my place, I hope and pray she will get the help she obviously needs to live a fulfilling life without drugs. She is still a VERY young and talented young lady, who could turn her life around. I thought she did a GREAT job in her little skit on the VMA’s with Chelsea Handler and would love to see her succeed, rather than fail in her battle with drug addiction.
I never give up ‘HOPE’ for people who struggle like this. But it will be up to her and her alone, a person has to WANT to change, in order to succeed. So ‘cheers to hope’ for Lindsay and all the people who are ‘fighting’ the demon. I am praying for YOU!
Here is one of my FAVORITE songs about ‘HOPE’!
