[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kenny Chesney[/lastfm] has put up an offer of 10,000 copies of his football documentary to high schools and football teams.  He hopes that he can inspire these student-athletes on and off the field. In the new DVD documentary [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kenny Chesney[/lastfm] was able to sit down and talk to some football legends such as Joe Namath, Brett Favre and even John Madden. They discussed life lessons that could be learned from the game of football.  Kenny said he learned quite a bit from the interviews:

“I got something from every one of them,” explains Kenny. “It was probably one of the best journeys of my life being able to go around this year and interview all these people, all these men that have shaped lives on and off the field for a long time. I’ve been so busy the last couple of years. I’ve been giving to one thing and doing all this stuff, it’s been great, but that doesn’t leave a whole lot of time for you to sit and actually reflect about what you want in your own life and about what you want in it and about where you are in it.”

“Talking to these football coaches and talking to Joe Namath at his house and hearing him talk about how football’s a team game, but life’s a team game. That was unbelievable to hear,” Kenny continues. “To hear Bobby Bowden talk about his life and how it relates to football — not very many guys talked about just stuff on the field. They talked about things you learn that go beyond it. And there was something I took from everybody. And for the first time in a long time, I was actually in a head space to listen to these guys. I felt myself listen to somebody for the first time. It’s been a long time. It was an incredible journey that I never saw coming in my life. I never knew that I was going to make a documentary on football and lessons that it teaches and how it relates to life. Never, but it just happened.”

The first 10,000 schools to mail a letter on school letterhead requesting the documentary by December 31, 2010, will receive a free copy of the DVD. Letters should be sent to:

Kenny Chesney
P.O. Box 121895
