Seems Like Britney Ripped Off The Bellamy Brothers

Ever have Déjà vu?  Well the [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Bellamy Brothers[/lastfm] think they have.  They think that the new [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Britney Spear[/lastfm]s song seems too familiar to them.

If you listen to Britney’s new songs, you should see where they are coming from:

“Back in 1979, I wrote a little song called ‘If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body, Would You Hold It Against Me,’” recalls David Bellamy. “That little song went #1 and has since become one of the defining songs of our career. If you listen to the lyrics of Britney Spears’ new single, ‘Hold It Against Me,’ you’ll find some major similarities.”

The brothers realized something was up when one of their videos for the song in question went to over 270,000 views over night. They may not be mad, but they know something is up:

“Howard and I have no personal beef with Britney. She’s a talented gal. But professionally, well, in all honesty, we feel completely ripped off. Where’s the originality?” says David Bellamy.
