Ready or not….it’s coming! Snow and LOTS of it! Forecasters are calling for a major dump of snowfall midweek that will have us here in the Motor City digging out for days. Are you ready for another 8-12 inches of the white stuff?
National Weather Service is predicting 8-12 inches of snow could fall on Metro Detroit starting Tuesday evening and continuing through the day Wednesday. A storm system will be moving through the Ohio Valley and blanketing a wide area with heavy snowfall.
Metro Detroit is running ahead of seasonal snowfall averages, with 16.3 inches falling at Metro Airport in January. February usually adds another 9 inches. After the projected storm, the arctic air is expected to take hold by Thursday, with highs under 20 degrees and lows in the single digits.
