Even though the ACMs are not until April, the Nominations were recently announced. Along with all of the nominations, some of the performances have been announced as well. One of the, well, oddest performances that we will see this year is Dunn minus the Brooks.
[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Ronnie Dunn[/lastfm]’s “Bleed Red” is his first solo single off of his yet to be released debut album. Ronnie seems not to be nervous about the performance yet, but just wait.
Nothing new—pressure. I feel that every time I walk up there to do it, hoping I can deliver that vocal,” he said. He also revealed that he will be doing a concert in Las Vegas and he admits the dry desert air may mess with his voice. “I’m going to do a full-blown concert the night before, so hey, if I squeak, I’ve done it before,” he told reporters.
The cool thing about his new song, is that Ronnie says it was a last minute addition to his album and was good enough to be the debut single:
“I think this song picked me. I had the record, it was finished, I was good to go. I thought I was headed to the honky-tonks and beer joints to kick out a few lights, and it drops out of the sky at the last moment. It’s the single they picked to come out with first,” said Ronnie.
