[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Trace Adkins[/lastfm] was joined by the Pentagon Channel to talk about music and the military when he performed at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on March 2. His performance and glimpses of Trace at a private meet & greet with the Wounded Warriors were shot for the network’s Command Performance program.
The episode dedicated to Trace will begin airing this weekend to military men and women stationed around the world. In the meantime, producers released a news piece and sent a personal note to Adkins that read, “In a word, that interview was fantastic. You are such an engaging and warm guy – watching you talk to the Wounded Warriors at the Meet and Greet brought tears to our eyes.” In part of the news piece release that was shared, Trace said, “You know, I figure I can protect my family within the confines of my own yard. Outside of that, I need help. So I try to show my gratitude & respect. I don’t do the heavy lifting, but I get to go over where you’re deployed and sing some songs – I get a lot of satisfaction from doing that.”
Trace performed with the West Point Glee Club at last year’s ACM’s.
