Trends: Little Big Town Growing Into ACM’s

Country veterans Little Big Town will be placing all their bets on one category at this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards.

Nominated in the category for Top Vocal Group, Trends looks at how they’ve been scrobbling recently to see how strong they are going into the awards.

Although they formed in 1999 the quartet didn’t release their first full length album until 2002. They have accumulated 1,014,735 scrobbles along the way, with 2010’s The Reason Why contributing 33,184 of those.

The album peaked at #1 on the US Country chart – making it their first album to hit the top spot. However they aren’t the only chart topping act in their category, what with rival nominees Lady Antebellum taking the #1 spot with Need You Now and Zac Brown Band doing the same with You Get What You Give (not to mention the former sweeping up at the GRAMMY Awards).

With such strong competition it would appear Little Big Town have their work cut out for them if they are to turn their one ACM nomination into a win on the big night of April 3rd.
