New Zealand-born country star Keith Urban will roll up to the Academy of Country Music Awards with three nominations and a glittering history of past award wins behind him.

As one of the most scrobbled nominees, Urban will feel confident of adding more trophies to his cabinet. Trends looks at his recent scrobble activity to see just how confident he should be.

Keith Urban is more experienced than most at winning awards – his first coming all the way back in 1977 for junior-based achievements at the Country Music Awards of Australia.

His total scrobble count stands at 5,240,754, a number that puts him in good stead considering his rival nominees. Nominated in the categories for Entertainer of the Year and Top Male Vocalist, Urban goes up against some of the biggest names in country, such as Taylor Swift (33,743,332 scrobbles) and Brad Paisley (5,278,169 scrobbles).

Elsewhere, Urban is nominated in the category for Vocal Event of the Year for guesting in Emily West‘s “Blue Sky”, which has taken in 7,627 scrobbles. Whilst this award would be sweet for Urban, he will surely be hoping for wins in Entertainer of the Year and Top Male Vocalist.
