Twitter can be a dangerous place, and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Blake Shelton[/lastfm] knows all about that. Something Blake has been doing on Twitter is “re-writing” his favorite songs. He takes the song and puts in goofy lyrics to it. After doing that to his “favorite [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Shania Twain [/lastfm]song,” he had to do some damage control.
Blake was under fire by a few gay/lesbian groups after this Tweet from Blake:
Any man that tries touching my behind, he’s gonna be a beaten, bleedin,’ heaving kind of guy.”
He was actually surprised that he was under fire for it, but he could understand why and he proceeded to put out this statement on Twitter:
It honestly wasn’t even meant that way.I now know that their (sic) are people out there waiting to jump at everything I say on here or anywhere. But when it comes to gay/lesbian rights or just feelings… I love everybody. So go look for a real villain and leave me out of it!!!”
While Blake didn’t mean any harm, I know he feels pretty sorry about it. Blake is not one to apologize for anything. Blake has said before that he doesn’t hold back, especially on Twitter. Follow more on the story over at People.com.
