Chris Medina may not have actually been on American Idol for that long before being voted off, but he has one of the most amazing stories out of any of the Idol seasons. Even with a great voice and a story that surely got the show viewers, he is not going to be at the season finale this year despite his attempt to be there.
Chris has one of the most tear jerking stories of all time on Idol. He is the caregiver for his fiance that was in an accident that left her with brain damage. Chris said “what kind of guy would I be if I left when she needed me the most.” Here is his audition from the show with a recap of his story:
While Chris never made it to the top 24, it didn’t take long for someone to get him to record a single. Chris recorded “What Are Words,” written by one of the shows associated producers, Rodney Jerkins. Jerkins said he wrote the song about the relation between Chris and his fiance.
Someone obviously thinks that the Medina fanfare is over because he has not been asked to the season’s finale, and when he asked to just get tickets to be in the audience, they said no. He recently Tweeted about what happened:
“Just found out I will not be at the finale for #AmericanIdol sad and disappointed.” “Then I asked for tickets and I told they can’t. No harsh feelings #AmericanIdol”
