Getting hit in the head, especially with a hard object at a fast speed, never is appealing.  But for Chris Logan of West Chester, Pa., taking a shot to the head with a golf ball may have been life saving!

According to The Post Game, last July 4, Chris Logan was at the AT&T National at Aronimink Golf Club when he was hit in the head by an errant shot by Sean O’Hair.  Even though he got hit upside the head, he was pretty much fine.  Of course just to be safe, he was asked to go to the doctors to make sure he was truly fine.  While examining him for a concussion, the doctor found a lump just below his throat.  The lump was  malignant tumor on his thyroid that needed to be removed within weeks.

Chris is cancer free a year later and has actually been able to meet O’Hair for saving his life, even though he clocked him in the head!
