We’re pretty sure everyone knows this 1963 song from one-hit-wonder Lesley Gore.  This song hit #1 on the pop charts and was the first hit single for producer Quincy Jones. If you don’t know it by title, we think you’ll recognize it when you watch the video! It’ll be stuck in your head all day now! You’re welcome!

Well, we’re going to address the elephant in the room when we say “Miley Cyrus” and “Country” in the same sentence. We agree some of her songs are more country than others, and while we aren’t sure this one qualifies, you’ll definitely see some hot cowgirl line-dancing and yes, true to her Nashville roots, we gotta give her credit for her choice of footwear!

This one’s a pretty special party song! The music video was shot in Los Angeles in late September 2001. At the 1:46 marker, an American Flag is shown, as a nod to the September 11th attacks just days earlier.  Pop artist P!nk received “Best Female Video” and “Best Dance Video” at the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards.

Who better to record a party song than comedian/actor/singer [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Eddie Murphy[/lastfm]! (Did y’all know he was a singer?)  This hot single is from his 1985 album release How Could It Be.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Ricky Nelson, aka Rick Nelson, singer/songwriter/actor, released “Garden Party” in 1972. A well known song, if you grew up in the 60’s or 70’s, you probably had this playing in your 8-track. Sadly Ricky died in an airplane crash in December of 1985 at the age of 45.
