[mp3com-artist]Taylor Swift[/mp3com-artist] had a special, surprise guest on Tuesday night at the first of her sold-out shows at the Staples Center in Los Angeles: [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Justin Bieber[/lastfm]! Billboard reports that Taylor took the stage, asking the crowd, “Who wants to see my friend Justin?” Bieber and four dancers then hit the stage, with Swift joining him on his hit, “Baby.”
Justin and Taylor looked as if it was a well-rehearsed routine, and appeared very comfortable onstage with each other! Swift’s other cover song of the night was [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Beach Boys[/lastfm]’ “God Only Knows,” which she sang on a second stage located at the rear of the venue. Swift recently bought a home in Los Angeles, and she noted that the response she has received when playing the Staples Center has been “life changing.”
In other Taylor news, she has bought her parents a $2.5 million historic house in Nashville! Taste of Country reports that The Northumberland Estate is a 1930’s, column-style home erected by Guilford Dudley, Jr., former US Ambassador to Denmark. The home boasts unique, 20th-century southern architecture and includes: four spacious bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms, multiple sitting areas and a pool. Before Swift purchased it, it was owned by Luke Lewis, the Universal Music Group chairman. Taylor also still owns a condo that she lives in near downtown Nashville.
[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Taylor Swift[/lastfm]’s “Speak Now Tour” has been compared to a Broadway production – and that’s just fine with Taylor. As she shares, the Great White Way is a big inspiration to her from her younger days in local theater.
