When I told people I was moving to Detroit, people kept telling me to “be careful” and “be safe.”  It’s so funny how people who’ve never been to a place seem to know so much about it.  Turns out many young professionals like me are finding Detroit is not only a great place to work, but a great place to live.

A new study by Career Bliss ranks Detroit #6 on a list of happy places for young professionals to live, and there’s a lot to be said about that considering cities like San Francisco (No. 8 ) and Chicago (No. 13) are ranked below the Motor City on this list.   To see the entire list and read more about this study, click here.  So, take THAT Philadelphia… or should I just call you “Number 20?”
