[photogallerylink id=111167 align=right]Everyone in Detroit has Tiger Fever after last night’s win in game five of the American League Division Series against the New York Yankees.  Our Tigers win has us all harkening back to the excitement of  “The Roar of ’84“, and before that championship year, the 1968 World Series, where they also took home the pennant. In light of last night’s victory in the ALDS, it’s time to break out the songs everyone in Detroit was singing back in the day.

Here’s the theme song of Detroit’s 1968 championship team.

In 1984 “Bless You Boys” became the rally cry inspired by the sarcasm of commentator Al Ackerman who coined the infamous phrase.
