FREE has always been my favorite ‘F-Word!’ Who doesn’t love getting something for free? Psychologically, we sometimes can’t help ourselves when we see a freebie.
You may know that many restaurants will let kids eat for free on certain nights of the week. There’s a pretty comprehensive list at FrugalLiving.TV: On Mondays, for instance, you can get free kids’ meals at IHOP, Denny’s, Pizza Hut and TGIFridays. Accompanying adults, of course, need to order too — and pay full price. But you can certainly save a ton of money by taking advantage of “Kids Eat Free” deals and all kinds of other great ‘free offers.’
I have always loved coupons and clearance racks, and rarely decline a ‘freebie’ of any kind! Some people are experts at finding ‘free stuff’ and live great on a super low budget.
Did you know that Craigslist has an absolutely ‘FREE’ section too? We recently had a queen size bed that we no longer needed, when my Father-in-law moved in and brought his bed from his house to ours. Our old bed was in decent shape, and I could not stand the thought of just ‘throwing it out’ when I was sure there were plenty of people who would love to have bed, bust could not afford to buy one! So I put an ad in the “FREE” section of Craigslist, and we had a ton of calls right away. A sweet young college student was the first to call, and she was thrilled and grateful to have our old bed absolutely free!!
