“On his third album, Church hits his stride, chronicling wild nights and epic hangovers with just the right amount of critical distance.”  That’s what NPR says about [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Eric Church[/lastfm]’s most recent album, Chief.  While it’s pretty awesome the album is on NPR’s Top 50 Albums of the Year list, that’s not all that Eric has accomplished.  Just last week, Eric was named Breakthrough Artist of the Year from iTunes!

The year Eric has had seems like an artists dream.  According to Country Music Tattle Tale, Eric has done quite a bit this year.  His year was highlighted with his first GRAMMY nomination, and Chief sold over 145,000 copies in less than 10 weeks!  He was also named the 2011 ACM New Solo Vocalist of the Year.

With all of these accolades, it gives a good reason why Eric has a headlining tour for 2012!  Eric knows that it’s because of a ton of hard work!

“I am so grateful for the many ways Chief. has changed my life,” shares Church. “There is no cooler thing as a recording artist than when people tell you that your music matters to them. Every single day the momentum for this record gets bigger and stronger, and I can’t wait for next year to share this music with the people who truly made this happen. It’s gonna be one hell of a tour!”
