Being $10,000 richer was all that was going through the head of Vincent Swope as he did a victory lap around the Rupp Arena at University of Kentucky$10,000 is a good chunk of change for anyone, especially a freshman in college.  The $10,000 was a result of a half-court shot that the freshman actually made during a basketball game.  A problem came around when the sponsor of the shot decided they didn’t want to pay the $10,000.

According to Yahoo, a riot almost broke out when Vincent and even the local sports radio station found out that Kroger was contesting the half-court shot that won Vincent $10,000.  They insist that he just slightly stepped over the half-court line, but some say that he didn’t.  You be the judge:

Vincent started to receive a following thanks to Matt Jones who is the founder of Kentucky Sports Radio.  Jones pushed on his radio show and his Twitter account that all fans should protest on Vincent’s behalf.  With a following of over 37,000, it seems like it did the trick because Vincent is getting his money!
