Rascal Flatts’ Gary LeVox, Joe Don Rooney and Jay DeMarcus will be busy on both coasts this week, beginning today in Los Angeles the trio will a performance on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars. Jay says that while singing live on the show is fun, it would be even better if Gary were competing for the mirror ball trophy. Also, Rascal Flatts releases their brand new album “Changed” today. After changing record labels on the last album, the trio has also changed management and relieved some of the stress of being a top working act in country music to do what they love to do the most, make music.
Rascal Flatts’ talk about the possibility of Gary LeVox joining an upcoming cast on Dancing With The Stars., “We’ve been able to do Dancing With The Stars several times and it’s always a special event, so we so enjoy that. My dream someday, honestly, is to see Gary LeVox on that show, because a lot of people don’t know this about him. This boy can move! He’s got moves that defy the laws of gravity. (Joe Don) He’s got moves like Jagger. (Jay) I think he could win it. Honest to God, I really, really do, so it’s gonna be fun to play it, but I want to vote for him someday. (Joe Don) As a matter of fact, in the middle of singing tonight you should bust out there and start dancing. (Gary) I might do it. I might just have tear-aways and a leotard and pop up. (Jay) I’m telling you, they asked him to do the show a couple of years ago and he turned it down, but if they ask him again he needs to do it. He’s gotta make that commitment cause he could do it, honestly.”
Rascal Flatts’ Gary LeVox says the stress is much less after making some changes with their management and record label. “We truly feel like this is our sophomore album Love everything that we’ve done the last ten years but we are so rejuvenated and fired up and it’s a new season. And we feel like we’re a brand new act we’ve got so much to do and not being so weighed down with all the business side of things, you know, you’re creative again. We are changed and fired up and we’re ready to go.”
