Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts celebrates his 41st birthday today (April 26). It would seem as though Jay has much to celebrate this year!  Earlier this month, the trio saw the release of their eighth studio album, Changed.

And yet another cause for celebration is that Jay and his wife are expecting their second child, a son, this summer.

This week Jay even joked about his birthday to his Twitter followers.

41 is the new 30, right?

In honor of Jay’s birthday, we picked ten Rascal Flatt’s songs that gave Jay and his bandmates the most reasons to celebrate!

In early 2000, the group made its debut with the single “Prayin’ for Daylight”, and was also included on the trio’s Greatest Hits album released in 2008.

“These Days” off 2002’s Melt, became their first number one single on the country charts.

“I’m Movin’ On” was awarded Song of the Year by the Academy of Country Music in 2002.

In early 2005, Rascal Flatts’ version of “Bless The Broken Road” spent five weeks at number one.

“What Hurts the Most” was a huge crossover hit for the guys, reaching number one the country and adult contemporary charts, as well as breaking top 10 on the Hot 100.

“Winner at a Losing Game” was the first single the trio wrote themselves.

“Here,” from their album Still Feels Good, was released in August of 2008 and became their ninth number one hit in January of 2009.

“Why Wait” was released in December 2010 and became the their eleventh number one single on the country music charts.

In March 2011, Rascal Flatts was featured on a remix of Justin Bieber‘s song “That Should Be Me.”
