Even though underwear is something I wear day in and day out, I don’t like spending more than a couple bucks on them, but what if you offered a celebrities underwear as a collectible? Nope, that’s very creepy and I won’t be spending a dime on someone elses undies.

Believe it or not a panty enthusiast purchased a pair of Queen Elizabeth II’s underwear for a whopping $18k on an eBay auction. The knickers had been placed on eBay by the estate of the late “Baron” Joseph de Bicske Dobronyi, who had claimed he came into possession of the undergarments after they were left on a private plane when the Queen visited Chile in 1968.

There were 18 total bids on the royal panties, but only one lucky or not so lucky person walked away with the undies. The identity of this creepy panty lover hasn’t been revealed and I’m guessing for his sake it won’t.

I wonder how much my underwear could sell for on eBay? I’d probably have to pay a fine for putting them up for auction. Have you ever purchased something and later realized you spent way too much money on it? Or maybe a better question is, what’s the weirdest and craziest thing you’ve ever bought?
