I am a huge Detroit Tigers fan.  And even though they have been kind of struggling so far this season, I still have hopes they will do well.  And last weekend, the Tigers actually left Cincinnati on Sunday doing pretty well.  I felt pretty good for the team, until I read the rumors online!  There are rumors that one of the Detroit Tigers CHEATED this past Sunday.  Not only do some claim this player cheated, but that his cheating was one of the main reasons the team won this Sunday.  You won’t believe who supposedly cheated, and what he did to “cheat.”

This past Sunday, the Tigers beat the Reds, 7-6.  Jose Valverde, who hasn’t been so hot this season, came in and shut the door for any chance of the Reds coming back to win.  Valverde has been doing pretty darn good lately, but after watching a video, I am a bit worried about HOW he is winning.  The video is from the game this past Sunday, and it shows to be what looks like Valverde spitting into his glove, with the ball inside the glove.

Now, you might be asking yourself why that is such a big deal.  The problem is, the “spitball” has been illegal in the game of baseball for some time now.  The rule is that the ball cannot be altered or “doctored” in any way!  And spitting on the ball is known to change how the ball moves after being thrown.  Take a look for yourself. Do you think he spit into it?
