Okay maybe not president, but Tim McGraw did surprise us a few years back when he said he one day wanted to set his music aside to pursue political office. Now that Tim has quit drinking he’s thinking a little differently, so maybe it was just the beers talking. “That was back in my drinking days,” Tim said to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. “Who knows? I’ve been very fortunate. If one of these days I’m in a position where I can give back and feel like I’m smart enough to help and not just doing it for the hell of doing it, then it would be something I’d consider. But certainly it would be after my kids are grown.”

McGraw quit drinking a few years ago in order to set a better example for his kids and it also appears it’s been better for his health because he looks pretty lean and jacked! He’s currently touring with Kenny Chesney, Jake Owen, & Grace Potter & The Nocturnals who will be making their stop in Detroit on August 18th at Ford Field. Along with putting on one of the best shows on the planet, Tim McGraw has teamed up with Operation Homefront to give a mortgage free home to a veteran in need at each of the Brothers Of The Sun Tour stops, including here in Detroit!
