The rich and famous are certainly not immune to being ‘dysfunctional‘ and the Jackson family is a perfect example. When there is a ton of money involved, it seems to add even more fuel to fire in family relations. When Michael Jackson died, his mother was awarded guardianship of his 3 minor children, Paris, Prince and Blanket. All seemed to be going well until Katherine Jackson ‘disappeared’ for over a week, with no contact with her beloved grandchildren. Paris Jackson used Twitter to express her hurt and anger about what had ‘really happened’ to her Grandma and that is when the ‘fit hit the shan‘…..
On Wednesday, a judge appointed Tito Jackson’s 34-year-old son, TJ Jackson, as a temporary guardian of Michael Jackson’s children. In addition, the judge temporarily suspended Katherine Jackson as the children’s guardian, because she is in Arizona and hadn’t spoken with them in several days. Then Katherine appeared in television, surrounded by some of her grown children and read a prepared statement, which did not make a whole lot of sense either, trying to explain her absence and what was happening with her family!
Does all this public turmoil with the Jackson family make YOUR ‘dysfunctional family’ seem a bit more normal?
