When it comes to being healthy and all the things that entails, I have run across some weird and interesting “tips” that are supposed to make you healthy. Some of them seem kinda crazy to me. Also, I have come across a few things that I was doing, that I SHOULDN’T have been doing, because they were actually counteracting what I was trying to do. You won’t believe what some of them are.
Staying healthy is never easy, and it seems that new dos and don’ts pop up every day. And according to Yahoo, there are actually 8 things that many people do that they think is helping them out. But in fact, it might be doing them harm! One thing that I did until a few months ago was I ate “3 square meals” a day. I made sure they were healthy and contained plenty from the foods I needed. Experts say that when people become older, the whole “3 meals” thing isn’t the way to go. 6 smaller meals actually works better to keep metabolism up.
And when it comes to working out, something I learned was a hard workout or cardio activity might be good for relieving stress, but only for a short period of time. Doctors at Yahoo say that meditation and yoga are things that can give people a longer lasting stress relief.
