Thanks to Forbes.com. there is a list of the top 5 things you need to do before you actually quit your job.  Again, I highly suggest you try to stick it out because finding a new job isn’t easy, but if you are SURE that starting fresh somewhere else is the thing to do, make sure you have double checked this top 5 check list.

First, how will you explain this in a job interview?  First, you might be looking for a job before you quit.  You have to be willing to open up to your possible new employer about what made you unhappy.

Secondly, make sure you don’t burn any bridges.  If and when you quit, just let them know nicely why you are quitting, even if they made you mad.  Your new employer may call your old one, and if you make your old boss mad, they might bad mouth you, and you don’t want that!

One of the BIGGEST things you need to make sure you can do, is make sure you can pay up to 10 months worth of bills.  On average, American’s are out of work for at least 10 months until they find a new job!  So, get a back up plan for money and start saving up!
