This was a fun, exhausting, challenging, crazy trip of a lifetime. There are not that many people you meet in life who have a funny sense of humor and are just all around a great people. Brad Paisley is one of those guys.
To take some guy in Detroit Michigan who is on the radio – send him 8,000 miles from home to Africa – give him money to go cow shopping to buy a cow and pay for the entire trip of not just myself, but Josh, the camera guy as well. That is a pretty cool and extremely rare thing. Something I am sure that will never happen again in my lifetime.
Along with thanking Brad Paisley, I have to also thank the guys from Rascal Flatts. When they heard about Brad buying a cow they also wanted to help. Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney each bought a baby calf for the Masai. So many people behind the scenes at CBS made this possible. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Radio is still fun. Just like with life it’s what you make of it.
We had lots of laughs on this trip. Shot some funny videos, made some new friends, put smiles on the Masai Tribes faces. And hopefully changed some lives for the better. All in the name of country music.
I hope you enjoyed it as much as I have. God bless and we will talk to you Monday Morning at 5am.
