I am guessing this might cause a little tension in the “Brangelina” household. Rumor has it, that Jennifer Aniston has reportedly invited Brad Pitt’s mother to her wedding! The former Friends actress divorced Pitt in 2005 after almost five years of marriage. But Jennifer remained close to her former mother-in-law, Jane Pitt, and wants her to be present when she ties the knot with Justin Theroux. Is it appropriate to invite an ex’s parent to your wedding to someone else?

I can understand remaining on friendly terms with the parent or parents of your ex, especially if you had a close relationship with them and they had nothing to do with your breakup. I remained on great terms with my ex husbands parents, who also were the grandparents of my daughter Gina. I took Gina to visit them every holiday, and still considered them to be my ‘in-laws’ even after my divorce from their son.
But I did not invite them to my wedding to another man. Out of respect to my ex, and to them too, after all, it seemed like that would be pouring salt into the wound of my failed marriage to their son. I never even considered inviting them.

Is it OK, or in good taste to invite your ex’s parents to your wedding to someone else?
