As I said before my trip to Tennessee last week produced enough stories to last a year. Here’s another one for you! While in Memphis for the St. Jude Country Cares Radio Seminar I ran into several artists including the winner of The Voice, Cassadee Pope.
I was invited to a dinner party at Texas De Brazil hosted by Republic Nashville. The record company was not only there to support St. Jude, but to celebrate Cassadee signing to the label. Brantley Gilbert was also there celebrating an early Birthday.
I had a chance to chat with Cassadee for a few minutes and I welcomed her to the country community. She’s known to have a rock/pop past, but told me she couldn’t be more excited about joining the label and that it’s right where she needs to be. See more on Cassadee and her new label here!
Another highlight of the night was when they surprised Brantley with a Birthday cake and about 50 of us in the restaurant sang Happy Birthday to the “Country Must Be Country Wide,” singer.
