Brad Paisley just released his new Wheelhouse album last month and has been promoting it ever since on his “Beat This Summer Tour” and on TV. Paisley says he’s pretty happy and content with his career right now. Paisley says, “Yeah, it’s why I can’t watch ‘Nashville,’ ‘cause the theme of an aging singer fighting to stay relevant with her record company as (laughs)…it just…that just…that hits just too close to home to me. You know? Nah, I’m not bothered by it, actually, though. I really am – I’m happy with where I’m at.”

Brad will be making a guest appearance as himself, performing with show characters Rayna (Connie Britton) and Deacon (Charles Esten) in Nashville’s opening-season finale airing Wednesday at 10 PM ET, on ABC.

Brad Paisley will appear on an upcoming TV special called Brad Paisley Spins the Wheelhouse: Live in Vegas, which premieres on May 29 at 10:00 PM ET on Great American Country. The 90-minute special will feature Brad playing his new music and chart topping hits at a concert that was filmed at The Orleans in Las Vegas earlier this year. During the concert, Brad performs with Dierks Bentley and Carrie Underwood with John Fogerty also making a special appearance. The special will also give fans a look at the staging for Paisley’s “Beat This Summer Tour” that is currently making its way across the country. For Brad, there’s no better time to tour than the summer months. He shares, “At 40 years old I still live for that period of time from the end of April to the beginning of October when touring is at its height and the lawn is full of drunk people. Country music is better outside in the summertime.”
