Clare Bowen, the super talented singer/actress who plays Scarlett in a breakout role on the ABC drama Nashville, has found several places in the city of Nashville that she loves. Picking her favorite place in the home of country music has proven to be quite difficult for a girl like Clare,, who obviously has a heart that is deeply rooted in country music! Listen to what Bowen say about her recent appearance onstage at the Grand Ole Opry…
If you saw the last episode of Nashville that aired this past Wednesday, you saw Clare perform a song on the Grand Ole Opry, and she says:
“I got to walk out onto the Opry stage as Scarlett and sing ‘Looking For A Place To Shine’ with the most amazing band that includes Sam Bush and Colin Linden and Jim Lauderdale. It was a pretty amazing experience. Just to stand out there and have Scarlett accepted by how many people in the Opry hall? Four thousand, I think? That was really something else.” For that reason she says, “The Opry is very, very close to my heart. But so is the Ryman and the Bluebird. It’s hard to pick.”
With a voice like an angel, Clare Bowen really reminds me of Allison Krauss. Watch this video clip or her first time singing as her character Scarlett on Nashville!
