While on a vacation in Nashville back in January I had the opportunity to attend the filming of the pilot episode of John Rich’s new show. Now 6 months later we’re finally hearing the good news that John Rich has signed with TV Guide Network for the new show. He broke the news on his twitter last week.

What I loved about the pilot episode was that it was all shot in John Rich’s home in Nashville, in which he calls ‘Mt.Richmore.’ Many of John’s family, friends, radio and record reps were all invited to the pilot shoot in order to create a true party atmosphere. Of course John is the host, but he had several friends by his side to co-host along with a lot of audience participation. During the pilot John opened up the show chatting with Cowboy Troy, Two Foot Fred, and the beautiful Sophie Monk about several topical issues. Then it was time to bring out a guest.

The first guest was actor Fred Thompson from Law & Order, who is also a politician, lobbyist, attorney and radio host. Following their chat it was time for some live music! Winner of the X-Factor, Tate Stevens performed followed by our hometown girl, Jana Kramer and John himself took the stage with Big Kenny and we all had a Big & Rich time! The new show set to debut this fall still has no name, but whatever it’s called, you can bet it’s going to be fun to watch.

Check out all the photos I took from my phone that night…
