One of the things Chris Young is probably missing most while recovering from his recent leg surgery is the golf course. The singer tells us he’s developed an obsession with the sport. “Growing up I played football, basketball, anything like that. (I) did all that (but) never picked up a golf club, never had any desire to learn to play golf at all. For whatever reason, here in like the past two months, every time I’m on the road we find a golf course and I go golfing with my drummer, my bass player and my front of house guy, and then when I’m home, two of my other buddies that are songwriters have taken up just like golfing every time I’m in town, so that is like one of the things that I am just sucked into right now and can’t help it, so it’s kind of fun to have something that you get out and you got four hours before a soundcheck or something, go to a local golf course and tee it up, play as many holes as you can and get back. It’s fun!”

Chris returned to the road as part of Brad Paisley‘s Beat This Summer tour. He’s climbing the charts with his latest hit, “Aw Naw,” which is the debut release from Chris’ upcoming album, A.M. The CD will be in stores on September 17th.
