PARENTS do! And I will fess up right here and say that I am guilty of doing this myself! I have always loved Halloween and when my daughter was little, getting her all dressed up and going trick-or-treating was the highlight of the fall for me. Even better? The fact my daughter really did not like candy at all!!

Halloween will be here soon but there’s a good chance that you know where your candy is. A recent survey shows seven in 10 adults break into the Halloween treats before Oct. 31, often resulting in a need to restock before the big night. YEP…..been there done that too!

And it seems they’re only setting themselves up for failure, with nearly two-thirds purchasing their personal candy favorites. I justify buying ‘my favorites’ in case there is any left over when the trick-or-treaters are done for the night! Yeah right….

After Halloween, the picture gets even less flattering: 80 percent of parents take candy from their children and a quarter of us do so while the youngsters are sleeping or at school.

Have you secretly stolen your kids Halloween candy after they went to bed or were at school?
