Miranda Lambert will celebrate her 30th birthday on Sunday (November 10th), and she tells The Dr. Don Show with Rachael and Grunwald it was the right time to really get her act together, including her health. “All through my 20s I worked a lot. You know, I was on the road since I was 17, and the road life is a lot of fast food and a lot of late nights and a lot of drinking. I didn’t give up drinking. I refuse (laughs). Have you met my husband? You have to drink to put up with that . . . Just kidding. Anyway, I just felt like I should get a little more healthy and I have a record coming out in the spring and it’s a very important album to me. It’s my fifth album. I have this spot. I found a great spot in country music and I want to keep it and i want people to know that I care, that I found my niche and I care about it in all aspects — musically, and my songs that I write, and what I talk about, and I want to look the part, too, you know, so (I’m) just finding a new spot in my life and am working hard. I didn’t give up really a lot, just Cheetos mostly (laughs).”

Miranda and her hubby, Blake Shelton, will perform during the tribute concert to George Jones, taking place on November 22nd in Nashville. The star-studded show is already sold out.
