Justin Moore celebrated his fourth Number One hit, “Point At You,” with a party at downtown Nashville honky tonk The Stage yesterday. Justin gave partygoers a performance as well, which was taped for ACM Sessions.
Justin was recently driving to church with his wife and kids when he heard a segment about himself on a syndicated radio countdown show. He tells The Dr. Don Show with Rachael and Grunwald it was an “ah ha” moment. “He did this whole story about it being my fourth Number One song and I looked over a my wife. I go, ‘Can you believe what we’re listening to right now? Like, this is crazy,’ and I called my dad and I said, ‘Dad!’ He goes, ‘I just heard it and I’m bawling and squalling,’ and I’m like, man, it just never gets old. I mean, if we never get back there again we’ve had four of ’em and that’s just way more than I ever anticipated in my lifetime, but it’s a great song. The first time I heard the song, I don’t think you ever know, but I was pretty cautiously optimistic about this song and not only the song being a hit song but I thought me and the song fit each other to a T, and fortunately we were right this time. We’ve been wrong sometimes but fortunately we were right this time.”
