Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas continues its hold on the top of the country album chart this week. The CD sold nearly 73,000 copies, which is five percent more than its previous debut week, to land at Number One on the country chart. Duck The Halls also climbed to Number Three on the all-genre Billboard Top 200.

As with their A&E hit TV show, Duck Dynasty, the Robertsons wrap Duck the Halls with a message and a prayer. Willie Robertson tells us: “We wanted the album to feel like the TV show in a way, even though we were doing it with music and on the show that we’re showing who we are, what situation we’re in. So, we wanted to come back and have that same feeling. So, the idea came up about me doing the actual ending talk about things we learn, our family. I thought it was a cool touch with Phil’s prayer and that together, it gives it that show feeling and then also lets you hear a little bit from our heart about who we are exactly ‘cause I know people get confused with TV and the show and the celebrity. But we always want to show really what our heart is and talk about our family, and we want other families to come together at Christmas and not just have a happy holiday but we want them to grow as we have as a family and really bond together. So, just like the show at the end of it, we wanted to wrap it all up and say here you go with a positive thought.”

Duck The Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas features several classics including “Silent Night,” “Away in a Manger,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” as well as some original tunes, including “Hairy Christmas” and “Ragin’ Cajun Redneck Christmas.” George Strait, Luke Bryan, Josh Turner and Alison Krauss all make special appearances on the album.
