Dolly Parton may be a legendary artist and a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, but she is not one to sit around and rest on her laurels. Earlier this year she announced plans to expand Dollywood, and she also recorded a new duet with her “old friend” Kenny Rogers. And now it turns out she’ll spend much of 2014 on the road.

Today (Dec. 6), Parton announced an expanded set of dates for her 2014 Blue Smoke World Tour, including some on U.S. shores. The tour will kick off January 24, 2014 in Rancho Mirage, Calif.

“It’s always great to perform at home in the good ol’ USA. We’re kicking off our Blue Smoke World Tour right here at home.  I love traveling all over the world; but it’s true, there’s nothing like home,” Parton said in a press statement.

After dates in California, Nevada, and Arizona (see the full list on Radio.com), Parton will shift gears and head to Australia and New Zealand. She will then return for more dates in the U.S. before turning her attention to Europe. The current schedule has her wrapping up the tour July 11 in Stockholm, Sweden.

“Every time I come to Europe I’m just as excited as I was my very first time, which was many, many years ago. I love that part of the world and I especially love the fans,” Parton said. “We always have such a good time and I’ve put together a lot of things for this show that I think the fans will love. We had not planned to come back so soon, but we got so much fan mail and such a great reaction that I thought ‘Well, why not.  If they’re having a good time and we always do, let’s just do it.’”

Earlier this year, Parton and Kenny Rogers released a new duet, “You Can’t Make Old Friends.” In an interview with Radio.com, Rogers raved about his ‘old friend.’

“It was an instant friendship because she is so open and I like to think I am as well,” Rogers said. “I love the fact that whatever she thinks she says and it’s so disarming when you’re with someone like that. I’ve always appreciated that about her.”
