Even though Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line has only been dating his girlfriend, Brittney Marie Cole, for seven months, obviously he knew she was his soulmate because the two wed on Monday, December 16 in a simple, small ceremony in Nashville. The two have been friends for three years and were seeing other people when they met. After a few years of friendship, they began exclusively dating one another in early 2013.
The wedding was non-traditional, Kelley admits to PEOPLE Magazine. “The whole process has been non-traditional,” Kelley reminisces. “There was no official proposal or exchanging of rings. We had just fallen in love, and I knew I couldn’t live without her. It sounds like a terrible cheesy movie, but when you know, you know!” He could barely contain himself as he continued to gush about her. “Brittney’s the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. I always knew in my heart that if I were single, then I wanted a chance with her. She was my dream girl.”
The ceremony was very simple, with only about 40 guests in attendance at Kelley’s 32-acre Nashville home. Guests feasted on tapas while dancing in a newly renovated barn while Brittney donned a short, long sleeved dress with a feathered headband she found on Etsy.
Their next step will include a tropical honeymoon vacation and an expansion to their family in the style of a four-legged friend. Unfortunately, Kelley’s schedule is a little difficult to plan around but he assures the world he’s happily enjoying his new fairy tale. “It’s a beautiful love story. It really is.”
