Darius Rucker kicked off 2014 with a GRAMMY Award and new music. In an interview with, Rucker talked of the prestige being nominated for a GRAMMY brings and his new single “Miss You,” which hits radio today, Feb. 3.

Rucker is still flying high after winning his third GRAMMY (and his first as a country artist) for Best Country Solo Performance for “Wagon Wheel.”

“It means the world to me,” he told “I think that song is such a classic song and it deserves all the praises of a GRAMMY nomination that comes with it.”

So where is he putting his new GRAMMY?

“Right next to my other two. It will be right here in my main room, [in a] trophy case that we can see. I’ll be real proud of it.”

Rucker’s two previous GRAMMYs were from his time in Hootie & the Blowfish. In 1995, he won a GRAMMY for both Best New Artist as Hootie & the Blowfish and Best Pop Performance By A Duo or Group with Vocal for “Let Her Cry,” a song he promises to play on his current tour, True Believers, which he describes as a big party with Eli Young Band and David Nail.

In addition to his new tour, Rucker revealed his new single today. Titled “Miss You,” Rucker says it’s a song many can relate to.

“I wrote that with Frank Rogers, my producer,” he said. “It’s one of those relationship songs. If anybody’s been in a relationship for a long time they’ve all been through ‘Miss You.’ It’s a song about being in love and everything going great but being too busy to show love. Either with the kids or whatever’s going on in your life, you don’t have time to have a romantic evening. My favorite line is, ‘How can we go all night and not touch one another?’ I just love that line. That’s what the song’s about. We’re still in love so let’s be lovers.”
