You could be seeing a local country artist on The Voice. Paulina Jayne accepted an invite from multi-Grammy Award winning producer, Toby Wright, to audition for NBC’s hit show “The Voice” in Nashville.
“Paulina Jayne is an amazingly dynamic performer, who exudes vocal and musical talent far beyond her years,” said Toby Wright. “Her music is pure with heartfelt emotion and honest, innocently pure lyrics. Check out this girl’s voice…… Simply amazing!!”
Paulina stopped by the studio this week to talk about her song writing process and of course who she wants as a mentor if she is picked for The Voice. “I’m a little biased, so I’d have to say ‘Blake Shelton,” Paulina shared with us.
This past year, Paulina Jayne released her EP “Girl Who Would Be King” at Live Nation’s St. Andrew’s Hall; performed to a sold-out crowd at The Shelter (according to Live Nation, aside from Eminem, she was one of a few artists to sell out a performance at The Shelter); became an artist in development with Trey Bruce in Nashville and filmed three music videos for her songs “Get Back on Your Feet,” “Pass the Moonshine” featuring Trick Trick and the recently released “He Doesn’t Know It Yet,” which debuted to a full house at The Magic Bag Theater on Thanksgiving eve. “Get Back On Your Feet” received three Best Music Video honors; 2013 Student Emmy Award, 2013 Detroit Music Award Nomination and 2013 Uptown Film Festival Nomination.
Season 6 of The Voice premieres Monday, February 24th. This season also marks the return of Shakira and Usher.
