When you work at a radio station, songs tend to start blending together. It isn’t on purpose, it is just something that happens. Sometimes you’ll think it is the start of one song, when it really is another song. That is what happened with Brantley Gilbert’s song, “Bottoms Up.”

A few of us at the station had the same thought, while listening to the beginning of Brantley’s song. We noticed a familiar guitar riff that sounded like the beginning of a Metallica song. That Metallica song was “Welcome home (Sanitarium).”

If you listen to the opening guitar riff in Metallica’s Sanitarium, beginning at 21 seconds, you’ll notice the familiarity.

Now listen to the beginning of Brantley’s “Bottoms Up.” The opening guitar riff is pretty similar.

So what do you think? Take the poll below and let us know!
