Have you wondered what being in the studio with Zac Brown Band and Dave Grohl is like? In a new teaser for the release of the physical copy of The Grohl Sessions Vol. 1, which hits stores May 19, the band fills us in.
“I feel like everything has changed since we came in here. Everything,” Zac Brown said.
The one-minute clip shows studio footage of the band rehearsing the first single off the album, “All Alright” and Brown asserting that he’s still fighting for “the song.”
“To me, my favorite way of recording with a band is to start in the beginning of the day with a song that’s kind of written and then you figure it out like a Rubik’s Cube,” Dave Grohl said.
“This is another album that has its own sound. It shows the evolution that we’ve gone through as a band,” added fiddler Jimmy De Martini.
For more behind-the-scenes footage, Zac Brown Band will release a deluxe CD/DVD package at Walmart, Best Buy and ZacBrownBand.com on May 19.
Zac Brown Band released The Grohl Sessions Vol. 1 exclusively on iTunes on Dec. 10. This followed Zac Brown Band’s 2012 release Uncaged.
