By Jason the 200 lb. Cowboy

Randy Houser is climbing the charts with his new single, “Like A Cowboy,” but he’s beginning to work on music for his next CD. He’s already been doing some writing, and as Randy candidly admits, some of it is based on the divorce he and wife Jessa Lee are in the midst of.

Randy tells The Dr. Don Show with Rachael and Grunwald, “I’ve been writing some stuff. I mean, of course there’s a lot of changes going on in my life and I tend to write out of retrospect a lot, so a lot of times I tend to get through something before I start expressing what I feel about it because that can cloud things up, and I know we are at that where it’s time to start making another record, and I found a lot of cool songs and I’ve written some things that I really like, too, and I’ve written some things that I needed to write and some things I needed to say and, you know, who knows if they’ll ever make the album but, you know, I think I’m probably in a more creative space as far as things that I need to get out right now, and then, you know, I don’t know if those things will ever be appropriate for our album (laughs), you know?”

There is no word yet on when Randy’s new album is due out. So far, his current How Country Feels CD has produced three Number One hits.
