Joe Nichols scores his latest Top 10 hit with “Yeah,” the second single from his latest album, Crickets. Joe tells us the song is a great blend of his traditional country voice and today’s more pop-influenced music. “‘Yeah’ is one of the first songs that we cut for this new album Crickets, and as it goes, strangely enough, it was actually one of the first songs we found that had that out-in-the-hayfield, out-in-the-country, out-by-the-river, kind of young, falling in love, kind of first time ‘moment.’  It’s a very nice groove in this song.  I can’t explain it – it feels young, it feels clever and it feels like it has a lot of energy.  You know, the vocal to me is very indicative of the whole album, which means I can sound country and a little bit more progressive in the same vein,  So ‘Yeah’ is one of my favorite songs on this record.”

“Yeah” follows up Joe’s Number One hit, “Sunny And 75,” which topped the country charts.
