In honor of the American doctor infected with the Ebola virus, Brad Paisley treated fans to a snippet of a brand new song.

Paisley took to Twitter on Saturday (Aug. 2) evening to “Pray for Dr. Kent Brantly – one of those brave souls who risks his life to save others.”

A minute later, Paisley tweeted another message in honor of the doctor, dedicating his new song “Me and Jesus” off his upcoming album, Moonshine in the Trunk, to him, writing, “I’m moved by the Christian Dr. Fighting Ebola who gave the serum to his friend. So Here’s a bonus track. For him.”

Listen to the minute-long snippet below.

Dr. Kent Brantly from Fort Worth, TX is one of two Americans who was infected with Ebola while helping sick patients in western Africa. Brantly arrived in Atlanta, GA on Saturday to receive care from the hospital at Emory University where he is being treated in a glass-protected room in an isolated wing of the hospital. He is the first patient infected with the virus to be treated in the United States.

It was originally reported that Brantly had refused an experimental serum because there was only enough for one person, giving it to Nancy Writebol, the other American medical worker infected with the virus, instead.

It’s now been reported Brantly did receive a dose and according to CBS Dallas/Fort Worth, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have said Brantly is showing strong signs of improvement.

Whitebol is expected to return to the United States on Tuesday, August 5.

Paisley’s tenth studio album, Moonshine in the Trunk, will be released August 26.
