The world was shocked last week when it was revealed that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had tied the knot in secret, but now that the secret’s out they’re no longer keeping details of that wedding under wraps. The couple let “People” and “Hello” magazine publish the first (and probably only) pictures from the August 23rd ceremony, which took place at their French estate, Chateau Miraval.
The radiant bride is on the cover, wearing a white Atelier Verasce gown, personally made by Luigi Massi. The dress featured designs from her children’s drawings sewed into the dress and veil. Pitt simply wore a suit that he already owned, although he had to borrow a tie from one of his sons because he forgot one.

In fact, the Jolie-Pitt clan played a huge part in the day, which was attended by only 20 family members and friends. Maddox, 13 and Pax, 10, walked their mother down the aisle, while Zahara, nine and Vivienne, six, were flower girls, tossing petals from the garden. Shiloh, eight, and Knox, six, were ring bearers, and all the kids helped their parents write their vows. Pax had another special assignment for the wedding – he baked the cake.
“It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter,” Pitt, 50, and Jolie, 39, told “People.” “It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family.”
