Blake Shelton stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live last night (Dec. 11) to catch up with the host and perform his new single “Lonely Tonight” with Ashley Monroe.

Holding up Shelton’s latest album Bringing Back the Sunshine, Kimmel asked about the water tower of his hometown in Ada, Okla., shown on the cover and who the tower was named after.

“I don’t know who the hell that was, I’m sure it was somebody,” Shelton said. “Maybe a Chickasaw princess or somebody like that.”

When asked if people still get water from this tower, Shelton is perplexed at the question.

“What are you talking about? We never actually even thought about the fact that there might be water in that, it’s just a landmark,” he said. “It’s the tallest building in Ada. I never gave a crap about that water tower until I left.”
